I have been hard at work painting and trying new techniques. Several new opportunities have come about with my art, too. Three of my paintings will be up for auction at a Denver non-profit, Domestic Violence Initiative for Persons living with Disabilities (DVI) silent auction tomorrow night at their gala event. I have also joined forces with Artlifting.org. This is an organization that helps artists who are homeless and or have disabilities by providing exposure of their art to the world. You can purchase high quality prints of many of my pieces on various things. Here is a link to my page on artlifting.org:
Also, I will be teaching an eight week, advanced landscape painting class at MBodied Art Studio in Westminster, CO beginning Thursday, October 6. There are still open seats, too if you want to sign up!
You can find out more about my class here:
We would love to have you join us in learning how to paint a variety of landscapes.
My latest projects have revolved around utilization of the palette knife. I have done two cityscapes with the majority of the effort done with the knife. "Rainy NYC" and "Rainy City". It is a fun, albeit messy, challenge. I enjoyed trying aspen trees in preparation for a huge canvas project I am doing on a 24"X48" canvas,
At the same time, I have been busy prepping for teaching my class and have been under the weather for the last two weeks.
I have begun digging deeper into the wix website tools and found out some SEO and user interface tweaks I could make and so I believe my site is going to be easier to navigate and find.
Thank you for stopping by. You can stay up to date with my work on Instagram at: lukefarlowart.
